This specific therapy utilizes a step-by-stepp structure that allows individuals to build up their knowledge and skills prior to delving into their identified trauma. This therapy has worked best for children ages 3-18, but can also be utilized for adults struggling with intense emotions
Coping Cat
Coping Cat is a therapy practice created to help children work through their anxiety. This therapy combines behavioral strategies (e.g. modeling, relaxation) with cognitive strategies (e.g. problem solving, appraisal of personal abilities and perceived threat) to help children cope with anxiety. This therapy has been helpful for children 5-10 years of age.
Motivational Interviewing(MI)
MI is a process where your therapist can help guide an individual to better understand your own beliefs, values, and meanings, which can draw out a positive motivation and desire for change. This technique is helpful when you are feeling ambivalent or unsure of how or what, or even why you may be feeling like a change may be in your best interest.
